Microdosing

Micro-dosing involves taking very small doses, typically one-tenth to one-fifth of a recreational dose. While recreational doses can cause hallucinations, altered thinking, and intense emotions. This simply means you have taken too much.

Due to cultural stigma, medicinal mushrooms have been misunderstood and, therefore, misused for a very long time. The key is to start small, work your way up slowly to the perfect dose, and take breaks between microdosing days to help you observe the subtle, yet profound, effects.

Each of our capsules contains .02 grams of psilocybin mushroom. Yet some varietals are more potent than others and each mushroom offers a unique experience.

Psilocybin, the primary psychoactive compound found in magic mushrooms, is known to bind to serotonin receptors in the brain leading to a range of potential benefits, such as improved mood, reduced anxiety and depression.

Some studies suggest that microdosing can help to increase neuroplasticity, which is the brain’s ability to form new neural connections and adapt to changes in the environment.

Microdosing Protocols

Fadiman/The Beginners

THE FADIMAN PROTOCOL (also known as the Beginners Protocol):

The Fadiman Protocol is the most well-known microdosing protocol. It’s named after Dr. James Fadiman, who created this protocol to observe the effects by clearly distinguishing between microdosing days and non-microdosing days. The protocol is an excellent basis for a first microdosing experiment. It assumes a 3-day cycle, which you follow for four weeks.

DAY 1: 1st microdosing day

DAY 2: transition day

DAY 3: normal day

The Intuitive

Another way of microdosing is to do it entirely intuitively, with only one rule: there are no rules other than your own. Which is why keeping a journal is so important. The only difference between any medicine and a poison is dose and intention.

We have designed The Microdosing Journal, in addition to a lunar/solar calendar, to keep track of your microdosing days and record the subtleties of your experience.

People who have followed any kind of microdosing protocol for one or two cycles often switch to a more intuitive way of microdosing.
